No matter what ,women are always fond of clothes. They would love to revamp their wardrobe staple every once in a while. At the same time they can never forgo their age old clothes as well. They would prefer to carry it for an eternity as a souvenir of that particular outfit era. That’s how I had the benefit of wearing some of the best saree collections of my mother when she was of my age.
If the closet is crammed they would go for a new wardrobe rather than letting go of their tattered and yet favourite clothes.
Dressing up is not just an ordinary act for women, they invest their time and soul to look best for the occasion. That’s why wardrobe aesthetics are such a sensitive subject for women. Occasionally they make a deal with their mind to offer these invaluable treasures to others. It implies that, the particular person means something to them.
I could look back on my teenage days whenever i take a glimpse of those adored old outfits , some of which is still in my wardrobe reserve.
Here are some of the outfits in my possession for years and is picked frequently to wear up to this time.
Black waist knot T-shirt :
I got this T-shirt from Westside clothing back in the year 2014 and still couldn’t get over this. The colour hasn’t faded over the years which is one of the most intriguing factors of this tee. I feel utmost comfort and confidence in this waist knot T-shirt which isn’t outdated yet ( still in trend actually ). I would like to match it up with a pair of jeans , skirt , palazzo or shorts. It has always been flexible for a number of variant styles. I am not sure whether its the black colour or the level of comfort of this tee which makes it a certain winner of my wardrobe picks till date!
Casual white shirt :
Purchased this from an H&M outlet in Chennai in the year 2017. The shirt is quite dull now because of the sustained use for years thus far. When I have to hurry up to office or to go out for an emergency occasion , this white shirt and a pair of jeans always comes to the rescue.
Whenever I don’t want a figure-hugging fashion , this loose fit shirt is mostly my choice. There are a plethora of options to add flair to a white shirt. Apart from the conventional way of wearing the shirt , I like to mix and match it with sarees, skirt , parallels and lehengas.
You could imagine the hardship this tough boy had gone through so far , LOL !!
Violet maxi dress with belt :
I got this outfit from a Max outlet in Chennai back in the year 2017. I was fickle minded then whether to purchase it or not and eventually it turned to be one of my all time favourite casuals. Owing to the ease of wearing and clothing comfort , I still continue to pick this dress over other clothes. The chic belt was the subtle appeal which made me buy this dress back then. Now a days styling dresses with quirky and fancy belts are on the go.
This maxi dress looks brand new and sassy even today. Even though people around me have seen me in this outfit quite frequently, its still one of my wardrobe constants.
Navy blue floral waist overcoat :
Purchased it from ‘Pantaloons’ back in the year 2013. I have worn this overcoat innumerable times and occasions.
It was paired up with every possible outfit of mine. This floral jacket gives an alluring poise to the whole outfit ensemble. The colour and quality of the overcoat is still intact even after years of constant use.
Black knee length Kurthi:
I love kurtis especially in the colour black. This simple kurti was bought in the year 2013 from a small boutique near my hometown in Alleppey, Kerala. I always got a handful of compliments whenever i wear this elegant kurthi.
The lime green fabric prints on it gives a captivating look to this modest ethnic wear. This kurthi continues to be one of the top picks among the traditional outfits in my wardrobe. I feel effortlessly elegant when this kurti is accessorised with some oxidised jhumkas.
Blue check shirt :
This loose fit cozy shirt was gifted to me (or i took it from her , don’t remember exactly LOL)by one of my close friends back in 2012. It still looks like a fresh piece of clothing. I always feel that this particular shirt is a timeless garment in the trend of ephemeral fashion. In the era of fast fashion this shirt not just a survivor but a top dog !
